AI GUARD & BRAKE / AI BRAKE
NextBase
English is the semantic master. This policy states the version boundary between the App Store version currently distributed as 1.1.1 and the 1.1.2 candidate being prepared for review. It is not legal advice. Subscription terms describe the planned offer; a paid subscription is not live until it appears in the App Store.

Privacy Policy

Core GUARD / BRAKE does not need the content of your AI conversations.

Effective Date: October 16, 2026 · NextBase
Version boundary
Current App Store version 1.1.1 includes the optional CLOUD BRAKE connection path described below. The 1.1.2 candidate being prepared for review does not expose that CLOUD BRAKE / Sign in with Apple connection path. Its public product scope is GUARD / BRAKE / UNLOCK for supported app access on this iPhone. Until 1.1.2 is publicly released, the 1.1.1 data handling below remains applicable to the version currently distributed on the App Store.

1. Core Privacy Design

AI GUARD & BRAKE is designed to perform its core GUARD / BRAKE functionality using capabilities available on the user’s device.

NextBase does not need to know the content of your conversations with AI services in order to provide the core GUARD / BRAKE function.

2. AI Conversation Content

AI GUARD & BRAKE does not intentionally collect, read, upload, or analyze the contents of your conversations with third-party AI apps as part of its core GUARD / BRAKE functionality.

3. App Selection and Identifiers

The device may process information required to identify and restrict apps selected by the user.

Where Apple system frameworks provide privacy-preserving identifiers or representations, AI GUARD & BRAKE relies on those platform mechanisms.

These identifiers or representations are used for app functionality. This app functionality does not require NextBase to collect your name, postal address, or telephone number.

4. Version-Specific Data Handling

Current App Store version 1.1.1

iPhone BRAKE does not require a NextBase account. CLOUD BRAKE is optional. Connecting CLOUD BRAKE uses Sign in with Apple. NextBase does not receive your Apple ID password.

When CLOUD BRAKE is connected, NextBase stores a SHA-256 hash of the Apple subject rather than the raw subject, an internal User ID derived from that hash, a server-issued Device ID, the device public key, the Apple refresh token needed to manage or revoke the connection, and service state and timestamps needed to provide the CLOUD BRAKE connection.

The one-time Sign in with Apple authorization code is used for the token exchange and is not persisted. NextBase does not store the device private key, your Apple ID password, or the contents of your AI conversations.

My Page can delete that account and the CLOUD BRAKE records NextBase holds for it. Disconnecting a device stops that device connection and does not by itself delete the account.

1.1.2 candidate

The 1.1.2 candidate does not expose the CLOUD BRAKE / Sign in with Apple connection path described above. Its public product scope is selecting supported apps, applying GUARD / BRAKE on this iPhone, and restoring access through user-controlled UNLOCK.

For that app functionality, the app may use identifiers or privacy-preserving representations supplied by Apple or iOS to identify selected apps and enforce restrictions. NextBase does not require your name, postal address, or telephone number for this functionality.

While 1.1.1 remains the version publicly distributed on the App Store, App Store privacy information remains aligned to 1.1.1. Any later change to a “Data Not Collected” disclosure will only be considered after 1.1.2 is publicly released and the released behavior is freshly verified.

5. Third-Party AI Services

AI GUARD & BRAKE does not control the privacy practices of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other third-party service.

Your interaction with those services is governed by the privacy policies of their respective providers.

6. Apple Services

AI GUARD & BRAKE relies on certain Apple platform capabilities.

Information handled directly by Apple or iOS is governed by Apple’s applicable privacy terms and system behavior.

7. App Functionality, Analytics and Advertising

For current App Store version 1.1.1, the disclosed User ID and Device ID are used for App Functionality, are linked to the user, and are not disclosed as being used for tracking.

Any analytics, diagnostics, advertising, or tracking introduced in a future version must be disclosed here and in App Store privacy information before release.

8. Tracking

AI GUARD & BRAKE does not use the disclosed User ID or Device ID to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

9. Children

AI GUARD & BRAKE is not specifically designed as a child-directed service.

Users and guardians are responsible for determining whether use is appropriate under applicable local laws and family settings.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures appropriate to the information actually handled by AI GUARD & BRAKE.

No software or device environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. International Availability

Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction.

Where applicable law grants rights regarding personal data, NextBase will honor those rights as legally required for data actually held by NextBase.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app’s data practices, released version, or legal obligations change.
